Welcome to the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Oslo.
I started my tenure as the Ambassador of Türkiye in Oslo on 1 February 2023. It is an honor to represent my country in the Kingdom of Norway as well as to work closely with our esteemed citizens and members of the Norwegian-Turkish community.
Diplomatic relations between Turkey and Norway were established in 1926. As NATO Allies, Turkey and Norway enjoy strong and friendly relations and share similar views and concerns on various international and regional issues. During my tenure in Oslo, I will endeavor to further advance our political, economic, commercial and cultural relations between our country and Norway.
In this context, I am pleased to note that our bilateral trade volume has reached 1.8 billion USD in 2022. Leading touristics destinations in Türkiye, such as Antalya, continue to be among the most preferred by Norwegians. We would be more than happy to welcome more Norwegian friends to the wonderful destinations that our country offers.
Our Embassy is also accredited to Iceland. Despite the geographical distance between Turkey and Iceland, as two NATO allies, we are also striving to further improve our relations.
