Working Visit of H.E. Mr. Jonas Gahr Store, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway to Turkey

H.E. Mr. Jonas Gahr Store, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway will be paying a working visit to Turkey on April 18, 2011.

During the negotiations between Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E. Ahmet Davutoğlu and H.E. Minister Store, bilateral relations between Turkey and Norway, the development of cooperation on issues related to mediation for the peaceful settlement of disputes and Turkey’s EU membership negotiations as well as regional and international issues will be discussed.

On this occasion, a Memorandum of Understanding on the exchange of diplomats between the two countries aiming at sharing knowledge and experience in the field of peace and reconciliation will be signed.

The visit is believed to contribute to the further enhancement of the relations between Turkey and Norway, two NATO allies that share the same basic values and ideals and have similar approaches on international issues.
