We have learned with deep sorrow that many people lost their lives or were wounded as a result of terrorist attacks perpetrated today (05 December 2014) in Iraq’s capital Baghdad and Kirkuk. We strongly condemn these heinous attacks, wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, convey our condolences to their families and wish a speedy recovery to those wounded.

Turkey will continue to stand by the government and the people of Iraq in their fight against terrorism and threat of security that Iraq is facing.
