Mr. Thorbjorn Jagland, Secretary General of the Council of Europe, will pay an official visit to Turkey on 6-7 January 2015 upon the invitation of H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkey.

During his visit, Secretary General Jagland will have high-level contacts and deliver a speech at the Seventh Ambassadors Conference.

The visit is expected to provide an opportunity to address various aspects of relations and cooperation with the Council of Europe, of which Turkey is a founding member, exchange views on current regional and international issues, and to strengthen the existing cooperation with the Council of Europe.
