We are following the recent diplomatic tension between Saudi Arabia and Sweden with regret. Saudi Arabia's recalling of its Ambassador in Stockholm demonstrates the sensitivity of the situation. We think that it is necessary to take into consideration this sensitivity. Our views on the issue have been brought to the attention of the Swedish Ambassador to Ankara by H.E. Ambassador Feridun Sinirlioğlu, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey.

We hope that this problem could be resolved through dialogue as soon as possible between brotherly Saudi Arabia and friendly Sweden who has earned sympathy in Islamic world by recognizing the State of Palestine.
