It has been sadly learned that an attack was perpetrated last night by unidentified individuals against the Head Office of Friendship Equality and Peace Party (located approximately 8 km away from Komotini), which plays an important role in the political life of the Turkishminorityin Western Thrace.

During the heinous incident, the car on display in which Dr. Sadık Ahmet, the founding president of the FEP and the leader of the Turkishminorityin Western Thrace, lost his life in 1995, was stolen. We wish that this incident would be resolved at the earliest time possible. To this end, necessary démarches are being made to the authorities in Greece.
