We have learned with great sorrow that today (20 January) as a result of a terrorist attack perpetrated against the Bacha Khan University in the Charsadda town of Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkha Province, according to initial reports, tens of people lost their lives and many more were wounded.

We condemn this heinous terrorist attack; wish God's mercy upon those who have lost their lives, hope for a speedy recovery of the wounded and convey our condolences to the Government and brotherly people of Pakistan.

While we are concerned about the recent increase in the acts of terrorism which aim at dragging Pakistan into instability, we believe that the people of Pakistan will strengthen its unity during this period and enhance its support to the Government of Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.

Turkey is ready to provide any kind of assistance to brotherly Pakistan in this respect.
