H.E. Bert Koenders, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands, will pay a working visit to Turkey on 28-29 August 2016 accompanied by a delegation, to express solidarity of the Government of the Netherlands with Turkey following the failed coup attempt targeting Turkey’s constitutional order on 15 July 2016.

Within the framework of his visit, Minister Koenders will visit the building of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, heavily damaged in the course of coup attempt, and will be received by H.E. İsmail Kahraman, Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey. The Guest Minister will also be received by H.E. Binali Yıldırım, Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, and will meet with H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and H.E. Ömer Çelik, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator.

It is foreseen that at the meetings, bilateral relations as well as FETO/PDY July 15 coup attempt and the subsequent developments, Turkey-EU relations and current regional and international issues will be addressed.
