Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will visit Argentina, Paraguay, the Dominican Republic and Mexico between 30 January-3 February 2017.

The visit of the Foreign Minister to Argentina comes after a hiatus of 19 years, whereas the visit to Paraguay will constitute the first visit ever paid to the said country at ministerial level.

In Argentina “Cooperation and Mutual Assistance on Custom Matters Agreement” and in Paraguay the “Friendship and Cooperation Agreement” and “Bilateral Air Services Agreement” are envisaged to be signed by the Foreign Ministers of both countries.

The visit to the Dominican Republic will be an opportunity to review the progress in the bilateral relations and discuss potential areas of cooperation within regional organizations.

Within the context of Foreign Minister’s visit to Mexico, which is one of Turkey’s strategic partner in the region, the first political committee meeting of the Binational High Level Commission established in 2013, will be convened.
