We have learned with deep regret that, according to the initial reports, at least 50 people, including Iranian citizens, have been killed and at least 80 people have been wounded in two separate terrorist attacks perpetrated today (14 September) in southern Iraq.

We strongly condemn these heinous terrorist attacks, wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and speedy recovery to the wounded. We convey our deepest condolences to the friendly and brotherly people of Iraq and Iran.
