No: 229, 1 August 2019, Press Release Regarding the Attacks Perpetrated in Yemen’s Temporary Capital City of Aden
We are deeply saddened to hear that the attacks which targeted the security forces in Yemen’s temporary capital city of Aden claimed many lives and left many others injured.
We condemn those attacks, wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives and speedy recovery to the wounded, and convey our condolences to the Government of Yemen and brotherly Yemeni people.
It is worrisome that the violence continues unabated at a time when UN-led efforts to find a political solution to the crisis in Yemen have gained further importance.
It is our strongest hope that clashes between the parties will cease, the sufferings of the Yemeni people will urgently end, and peace and stability in the country will be established.
