Announcement Regarding Visa Applications for Medical Treatment Purposes

All visa applications are still suspended at the Embassy except for force majeure cases.

However, as of today, it is possible for those who have an invitation letter from USHAŞ (International Health Services Inc. –www.ushas.com.tr) for medical treatment purposes to apply for visa to Turkey. The application will be subject to further investigation and visas will be issued upon the final decision of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Turkey. The process may take up to 6 weeks.

Applicants who have an invitation letter from USHAŞ, should fill out the application form online onwww.visa.gov.trand make an appointment for their application in order to deliver the required documents. Information regarding the required documents is available onwww.visa.gov.tr

Even Norwegian passport holders and other foreign nationals who are exempt from visa for their travels to Turkey for tourism purposes should apply for a visa at the Embassy if they will be traveling to Turkey within the framework of the above-mentioned conditions.

We would like to remind once again that it is yet not possible to travel to Turkey for tourism purposes for foreign nationals who do not have residence permit in the country and visa applications are suspended accordingly.

The Embassy will announce once it restarts processing visa applications for other purposes.
