We are saddened to receive the news that many soldiers lost their lives and were wounded in a terrorist attack targeted a checkpoint today in the town of Kafolo, near the border of Burkina Faso, in the northern region of Cote d’Ivoire.

We condemn this heinous terrorist attack. We wish Allah’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, speedy recovery to the wounded, and offer our sincere condolences to the brotherly people and Government of Cote d’Ivoire.
