We welcome the understanding reached between India and Pakistan as of February 25, on the observance of cease-fire and relevant agreements, along the Line of Control, in the border area between the two countries.

We wish that this understanding, which is an important step toward establishing stability and security in the region, will contribute to constituting mutual trust and a constructive atmosphere for dialogue.
